Cursillo Cursillo is a worldwide movement of the Christian church which provides ways in which we learn to focus on Christ and our personal relationship with Him. Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning "a short course in Christian living". In our case it is a three day course where you listen to talks, sing a lot of songs, worship, pray, have fun and encourage each other in our Christian journey. There are three phases of Cursillo:
Group Reunion is a meeting together regularly of friends or Cursillistas to encourage each other. Ultreya is a Spanish word meaning "continue on - keep going on no matter what". Encourage each through witness talks, spiritual reflection, liturgy and worship with lots of singing. It is an uplifting time for all. There are usually four weekends held each year in the Newcastle Diocese. At present there are thirteen Cursillistas in our Parish of St Peter's. If you are interested in attending a Cursillo weekend or would like further information regarding Cursillo, please contact Wendy Brack on 49 326907 or visit www.angdon.com/cursillo for Newcastle Diocesan activities or www.anglicancusillo.org.au for national activities.
